Lisa, Candace, Stephanie, Annie, Kathleen, Theresa, and Katia experienced an incredible day of training in Toronto on Monday, November 9.
Training courses were offered by some of AVEDA’s top colour and cutting educators in North America.
Candace, Kathleen, Stephanie, and Theresa attended a cutting class.
Annie and Lisa attended a colour class. Katia attended a make-up class.
All of the staff were inspired and look forward to using the knowledge that they have learned through these classes.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, jeffrey has focused the last 9 years exclusively as an aveda haircolor specialist. Teaching many different aspects of the color line he knows Aveda color inside and out. His belief is that learning should be fun and educational so his teaching style is a balance of artistry mixed with humour. Jeffrey Has worked on two collections for aveda, FUSION and RAW BEAUTY. Jeffrey has presented at Aveda master jams in Dallas, Atlanta, and will be presenting at the 30th Aveda Congress in minneapolis
Tristin is passionate about education and sees his primary role as one of developing excellence in education and helping to attract new talent to the industry. Tristin joined Aveda in2001 and was an integral part of opening the first Aveda Academy Salon in Toronto. Tristin has presented at many Aveda shows including Aveda Congress 2005 and Milan Master Jam 2007. He has taken part in four Aveda Collections and has traveled the world as an educator.
Dylan started her hairdressing career in 1998 with the Civello Salon & Spa group. As an apprentice to Ray Civello, she honed her technical skills and creative edge. Dylan has since assisted top Aveda educators, Purefessionals and leading editorial hairdressers.
Through her years in the industry she has regularly appeared on television shows, fashion events and educational events. Dylan is currently a Creative Director to Civello Salon and Spa and a member of the Aveda Purefessional Team. Her passion is learning, sharing knowledge and inspiring others around her. In 2005, she was a member of Aveda’s creative team that created the collection Evolution/Revolution and most recently she presented at Aveda Congress 2008
Rudy is a leading makeup artist, working with some of the world’s most significant fashion designers and celebrities. Rudy began his career as a make-up artist at the John Casablanca’s/Elite Modeling Agency in Chicago, assisting new talent in developing their portfolios, and studied Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at the International Academy of Merchandising and Design. He began his career with Aveda in 1995 at the Flatiron Environmental Lifestyle Store in New York. In 1997, Rudy joined the retail education team and began facilitating Advanced Academy makeup classes, bringing his exceptional skills to the entire network. He supports Aveda in growing its makeup business by writing and teaching professional makeup classes globally, assisting with product development and creating modern and innovative techniques for Aveda’s seasonal collections.
Acclaimed for her originality, creativity and vision, world-renowned hair stylist Antoinette Beenders has been the Global Style Director for Aveda since March 2001 and is Creative Director of the Urban Retreat – Covent Garden Aveda Concept Salon & Spa at Aveda Institute, London. She is responsible for providing the direction, vision and training for Aveda’s Hair Cutting and Styling programs, establishing trends, developing products and leading the company’s education initiatives.
Antoinette joined Aveda in 1997 as a global guest artist and the Creative Director for the Urban Retreat – Harvey Nichols Aveda Concept Salon in London. She was named International Creative Director for Aveda in 1999. Since then, she has represented the company in countries including Australia, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States as part of her mandate to generate awareness and create excitement for the Aveda brand and its mission.
A native of the Netherlands, Antoinette arrived in the UK 15 years ago and immediately made her mark on the hairdressing profession. A long-time associate of Trevor Sorbie, she was appointed U.K. Artistic Director for his company in 1992 and then International Artistic Director for Trevor Sorbie International in 1994. In this role, she promoted the product line through hair shows and seminars worldwide.
Among Antoinette’s numerous awards are Avant Garde Haidresser of the Year 1995, London Hairdresser of the Year Award (1996 and 1997) and the Aveda Master of Arts Award (2000). The International Beauty Show/New York named her Most Newsworthy Female Hair Designer Worldwide (1998). She is currently nominated for the 2001 British Hairdresser of the Year.
